Upriver is building the first Autonomous Data Engineer: an AI teammate that understands your data platform and automates data engineering workflows end-to-end. Founded by Talpiot alumni (the elite IDF R&D leadership program whose members went on to found Wiz and Check Point) and backed by leading data and AI investors, we recently closed our seed and are scaling fast.. We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic Director of Marketing to build and own Upriver’s marketing engine from the ground up.
Narrative & Positioning: Define how Upriver shows up in the market. Develop messaging that resonates with data engineers, platform teams, and technical buyers.
Marketing Strategy: Build the marketing function end-to-end, from content and community to demand gen and events.
Cross-functional Partnership: Work closely with sales and product to shape launches, enable the sales motion, and drive pipeline.
Team & Operations: Own the marketing budget, and manage agency and vendor relationships.
Proven experience in growth, product marketing, or developer-focused marketing.
Strong technical intuition and comfort marketing to technical persona.
Entrepreneurial, proactive, and thrives in fast-moving environments.
Based in SF or NY (preferred).
